An extraordinary expression of Persian rug artistry, Imperial Rose is a magnificent vintage Tabriz rug dating to circa 1970. Distinguished by its impressive proportions, intricate floral ornamentation, and exceptionally beautiful circular silhouette, this remarkable piece captures the grandeur and sophistication of traditional Persian design.
The rug features a luminous ivory background adorned with an elaborate palette of coral rose, terracotta red, powder blue, soft lavender, warm gold, and delicate beige. At its heart lies a spectacular rose-colored central medallion, surrounded by layers of finely detailed floral motifs, elegant arabesques, and graceful botanical elements.
One of the most captivating characteristics of Imperial Rose is its unusual round shape with an elegantly scalloped outer edge. Unlike conventional circular rugs, its delicately contoured perimeter follows the flowing rhythm of the ornamental border, creating a distinctive silhouette that beautifully complements the intricate design.
A richly decorated terracotta-red floral border encircles the ivory field, introducing warmth and dramatic contrast. The surrounding layers of soft blue, champagne, and cream create a harmonious transition toward the beautifully shaped outer edge.
The exceptional level of detail throughout the composition reflects the elaborate decorative traditions associated with Persian Tabriz weaving. From the intricate central medallion to the delicate floral vines extending across the field, every element contributes to a remarkable sense of symmetry, richness, and refinement.
Measuring approximately 15’10” × 16’3”, this oversized round rug is particularly well suited for grand entrance halls, formal living rooms, elegant dining spaces, luxury residences, and distinguished interiors where a truly exceptional centerpiece is desired.
Its rare combination of impressive scale, sophisticated coloration, vintage character, and distinctive scalloped silhouette makes Imperial Rose a remarkable decorative statement.
